Brentwood First is a new party in Brentwood standing not for the party whip but for what is right for area. Russell and Nigel are both strong believers in “doing the right thing for Brentwood”.

Russell as always, outspoken, commanding and incensed by the current parking increases was joined by Nigel Clarke to discuss current issues with Parking, Potholes and The Old House.

The conversation, as always, was interjected with humor and laughter. I mean, we want out politicians to be more like us don’t we? Well maybe? I always prefer to see the human side of politics. The main politicians are so restricted in what they can and cant say, how they sit, how they answer questions by slagging off the opposition rather than answering straight questions. So the Council Tax did not increase, why the hell should it! Are you being paid anymore than last year, do you still have a job? How can any party justify raising council tax in these current conditions, however, rather a raise than hit people with stealth taxes instead. Its a very depressing time for the UK and it does not look likely to change for many years, regardless of who is in power. Bad times indeed.
