I’m An Animal Just Like You – 17/02/13

This week’s music listening was mainly brought to me by the extremely ace new album from Oxford band Foals, who released their third album Holy Fire. Judging by the rave reviews that I’ve read for the album and the fact that the album finished the week at number 2 on the album charts I suspect that we’ll be seeing their name everywhere in 2013. The standout on the album so far being Providence, which made it onto this weeks playlist.
Our album of the week was a classic from The Fall with their Hex Enduction Hour release from 1982. I’ve decided that every other week the album of the week will be an album that should be in everyones music library (well in my humble opinion anyway!).
A special mention to Iron & Wine who announced their new album Ghost On Ghost will be released on April 15th and from the sounds of the first track to be heard (Lovers Revolution), Sam Beam is heading into more jazzy territory which was hinted at on Kiss Each Other Clean.
See you next week!
