Tonight we featured Scottish artists for a Burns Night special. With a little research I was amazed at the number of artists to choose from. We heard songs from Donovan, Annie Lennox, Sheena Easton, Jim Diamond, Proclaimers, KT Tunstall, Gerry Rafferty, Wet Wet Wet, Ultravoz and Sandi Thorn. Her track ‘I wish I was a punkrocker with flowers in my hair’ caused the most reaction from listeners. In the chat room I do not know how we started fish jokes, but they ran for about an hour!

We had requests tonight from Max, Elle, Rene, Michael and Jackie. Apart from our Scottish artists we had tracks from Take That, Spice Girls, Mason Williams, Mr. Bloe, Rick Braun, Police and Florence Welch. News items included the fact that Essex is the least favourite accent in a poll. Also the most expensive bacon buttie for sale in the UK and the sale at auction of the original Batmobile for £2.6million. The snow held off to let me get home. Join me next week, same time, same place, same station: the one and only Phoenix98FM.
