Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a Happy and Safe New Year!
This week I had a look at what is going to be on choice of watching this winter.

Jedward Tour Guides
If you’re interested in visiting different landmarks and learning about them then you might be interested in a programme which is returning to our TV screens on Monday.  However, this programme comes with a warning…it is hosted by Jedward! The twins will learn facts about their destinations before becoming tour guides and taking visitors around the sights.
Somerset’s Cheddar Gorge, the Orkney Islands, the Imperial War Museum Duxford in Cambridgeshire and the Thames and Greenwich in London are just some of the sights included and the boys have shown their excitement by saying they felt “It’s an amazing experience filming this show and [they] can’t wait to visit more of the UK’s coolest visitor spots,”
Some celebs will also be joining them such as local girl Stacey Solomon and Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley.

So if this is something which you think you’d be able to handle watching then tune into Jedward’s Big Adventure on Monday, John and Edward have a warning of their own…. “Watch out. Planet Jedward is turning tour guide. It’s gonna be Jepic.”

Daley’s Diving in!
Thanks to the Olympics, diver Tom Daley has become quite a popular guy and I’m sure his new show will be too, which is a reality TV programme teaching celebs how to dive. It is called Splash and starts tonight and some of the contestants include Jennifer Metcalfe from Hollyoaks, Sugababes star Jade Ewen, model Caprice, comedian Dom Joly Changing Rooms designer Linda Barker, plus many more.

Daley has talked about the show saying “Once you’re up there, there is no turning back. If you freak out, you freak out on live TV. You’ll see lots of smacks and wallops. “People think diving’s easy because divers who’ve done it for a long time make it look like that – but it is very far from easy. It is a very psychological sport. Half the battle is getting over the fear factor.”

And one celeb who has found out how hard the sport is, is TOWIE’s Joey Essex has he has injured his elbow as well as his private parts while training. He was practising a high dive when it happened and now been told  “not to exert himself” while he recuperates.

Hard Work Pays Off!
All bands and artists work hard to get to the top, and one band who have done this successfully is JLS. In fact they have been named the UK’s hardest-working band for the second year running. They beat Westlife, who came second and Steps, Olly Murs as well as Florence and the Machine who where the top five.

JLS got this award as they performed on stage more than 34 times in 2012 meaning they headlined more concerts than any other major British artist.
As anyone would be the boys are very happy about this and have said they are “delighted to once again be crowned the hardest-working band of the year. “It means a lot that so many of our fans have had a chance to see us perform live. Thanks again for the support and we look forward to doing more in 2013.”

The Babes are Back!
Some people may not remember the original line up of the girl band the Sugababes but Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobahn Donaghy  reunited to perform at a surprise gig this week. It took place in London on New Year’s Eve and it was their first public performance together for over a decade. They are currently signed under the band name of Mutya Keisha Siobhan, and they went back in time to sing their first hit Overload, along with Freak Like Me and a cover of recent Rihanna hit Diamonds.

They have previously said there in new material they have to be realised, to fans watch out, it looks like the original Sugababes are back!

CBB
The long awaited next series of Celebrity Big Brother got underway this week with Big Brother feeling frosty already.  The first two house mates, X Factor’s Rylan and horse rider Frankie Dettori was given a task to choose which house mates will go into the main Big Brother house and which housemates will have to scavenge in the small, cold Big Brother Basement.

The house mates were welcomed by host Brian Dowling, in twos and Rylan and Frankie had to watch the housemates VT and answer a question about them to see who went where.
The lucky celebs who got to sip champagne in the main house were actress’ Tricia Penrose and Gillian Yaylforth,  glamour model Lacey Banghard, Steps Star Clare Richards, and the boys also joined them.
The celebs who weren’t so lucky and ended up spending the night in the basement were supermodel Paula Hamilton, actors Ryan Moloney and Sam Robertson, footballer  Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock  and couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt also known as Spidi  from The Hills.
