A good first lunch box for 2013

Happy New Year one and all!

For my first PACKED LUNCH for the New Year I was delighted to be joined by Steven Cooper. Steven who runs Haddon Events is often known as Steven Haddon. Actually “Haddon” is his middle name.  Confused? Anyway I digress, Steven was the man behind the Vintage Fair which was held at the Brentwood Centre at the end of November and is organising an Antiques Fair tomorrow at the Orsett Hall Hotel.

The event tomorrow is specifically related to antiques of any antiquity, whilst Vintage Fairs are rather more focused, specifically on the 20th century and can include vintage cars and often include live music, DJ’s, dancers etc., and so may be of interest to a slightly different audience.

Anyone having items they would like to have valued, or even sell, are welcome to take them along with them tomorrow. Around 45 exhibitors will be at tomorrow’s event. Doors open at 10am with the event closing at 4pm and at just £3 (Concessions – £2) it’s certainly worth a visit.

If Vintage Fairs are more your scene, the next one will be happening at Runnymeade Hall in South Benfleet on 13th January with another on 17th February.

No Frances Clamp this week, but fear not she will be back next week with the story of when Billericay had its own currency. Meantime have a good week til next time we meet.

All the best,

Scott
