Friday evening 21st of December 2012

A mix of Christmas and other music for the show tonight. Christmas tracks from Bon Jovi, Peter White, Annie Lennos, Lady Antebellum, Ronnie Spector, John Cash and The Beach Boys. Featured album tonight was Area 52 from Rodrigo & Gabiaella. This tops the World Music chart and you should check it out. We also had heritage tracks from Yardbirds, Dione Warwick and 10 CC. We featured the Justice Collective and I really hope that is the Christmas No1. I was on air with a Sports Show on Radio Enfield at the time of the Hillsborough distaster and it a worthy cause. Music also from Marc Antionne and Booker T Jones.  News items included a Salvation Army Band going to represent Switzerland in 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, a billion hits for Gangham Style on Youtube, Major Phil Parher completing a 2012mile charity walk after being told he would never walk again in 2008, airbags for Smartphones and a dog swallowing a foot of Christmas tree lights. We also talked about the findings from scientists in Cambridge that blue cheese is good for you. I cannot stand the thought of eating something that is going rotten.

More of the same nextweek. Be my guest.
