Lunch with that Xtra factor

Once again I had the opportunity to deputise for Michelle Ward on her ever popular EAT MY LUNCH show.

Today was a very special edition of the show as I had the pleasure of chatting with one of last year’s contestants on the X-Factor, the irrepressible JOHNNY ROBINSON. Since appearing on the show, Johnny has done a large amount of television, appearing in shows like Big Brother and especially, THE HUB on ITV’s This Morning show. Johnny has also been doing shows all over this country and beyond and on top of that has just recorded his first single. In time for Christmas, the song is aptly titled “It’s Christmas Time Again”. All proceeds for the song will be going to charity, McMillan Nurses and the Alzheimer Society. It’s a good song too, available only on line, but get those wallets out, enjoy the song and help these worthy charities to boot.

Listen again to my chat with Johnny right here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Johnny-Robinson.mp3|titles=Johnny Robinson]

As usual whenever I sit in on Michelle’s show I always try to look at some of the wilder stories around and today was no exception. First off we had the story of the Christmas Light event in Dovercourt, Harwich which didn’t go at all to plan when no one could find the switch to turn them on!

Next up was the story of a couple elderly priests who were involved in a brawl over a parking space. The brawl ended in one of the reverend gentlemen biting off the other clergyman’s ear.

Finally in this segment was the story of the motorist stopped in random breath test who mistook the breathalyser prof-erred by the officers of the law for a mobile phone which he then tried unsuccessfully to use to call his solicitor. It seems that he was mightily surprised by the lack of icons appearing on the device.

Hopefully Michelle will be back with us all tomorrow. Meantime thanks for listening.

Scott
