Playlist for 29 November 2012 (AOTW: Toy – Toy)

This album came out a few weeks ago – 10th September, to be precise – but I’m a very busy man, can’t sit around listening to music all day! (Well maybe that does happen sometimes). Toy were formed out of the remnants of dreadful landfill indie act Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong – and couldn’t sound further from the band, with a great mix of post punk, pyschedelic, shoegaze and Krautrock.

Last night’s playlist:

Joy Formidable – This Ladder Is Ours
Bloc Party – Price Of Gasoline
Everything Everything – Kemosabe
Ben Folds Five – Do It Anyway
Toy – Motoring
Lovely Eggs – I Just Want Someone To Fall In Love With
Foals – Inhaler
Apple Eyes – Wild Beasts
Focus – Victoria
High/Low – Soda
Super Furry Animals – Northern Lites
Toy – Reasons Why
Dingus Khan – Made A List
Blindness – Confessions
Fashoda Crisis – Horatio
Winter Olympics – Attention All Departments
Art Brut – Direct Hit
Tame Impala – Keep On Lying
Axes – Wet Wet Wet Wet
Coldplay – Brothers & Sisters
Snakadaktal – Chimera
Muse – Hysteria
Sébastien Tellier – Cochon Ville
Apple Creation – Beautiful Fool
Good Natured – 5-HT
Gum – Anna Sang & Alison
Toy – Drifting Deeper
Profile – Mushroom Man
