Halloween Behind you….

Well I survived Halloween again this year, I did scare a few people thou…next year I will try wearing a MASK – boom boom. Its is me or are all the commercial seasons all happening at once, as we seem to have halloween, Guy Fawkes and all the talk of Christmas- can we get easter out as well, save some time ..

In today’s little show, we had special guests, in the shape of Joe Beaumont and Keith Trigwell, one half of ‘Oberheim‘ a new to my ears electronic band, who just happen to be Britain premier Depeche Mode tribute band ‘Speak n Spell’ – we chatted about this and the new project, plus the forth coming outings as Oberheim, which include The Christmas Box at The Ship on December 14th, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

My Comedy show picks for this week……

Micky Flanagan: Work in Progress – 6th – 27th Nov 2012 • Leicester Square Theatre
Micky Flanagan is doing three weeks of ‘work in progress’ shows at the Leicester Square Theatre, testing out some brand new material for an upcoming tour. The Leicester Square Theatre seats around 420 people.

Frankie Boyle — The Last Days of Sodom – 8th – 11th Nov 2012 • Hammersmith Apollo
Frankie Boyle made a bit of a name for himself with some bare knuckle gags, and as a result he’s become one of the hottest and most controversial comics of the moment. Now he will attempt one final tour to heal Britain’s

Sean Lock: Work in Progress – 9th – 11th Nov 2012 • Leicester Square Theatre
You’ll recognise Sean Lock from the many comedy and quiz shows that he appears on on the telly, including “QI”, “8 Out Of 10 Cats” and “Argumental”. But now he’s returning to stand-up with a series of “Work in Progress”

My music pick for this week;

Tue 06 Nov The Vaccines – Hard Rock Cafe London
Formed in June 2010, the band consists of Justin Young (vocals, who previously worked under the name Jay Jay Pistolet, playing indie folk), Anri Hjorvar (bass), Freddie Cowan (guitar, younger brother of Tom from The Horrors) and Pete Robertson (drums). The band released their demo ‘If You Wanna’ in the summer of 2010.
Wed 07 Nov Maximo Park – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London
A popular indie five-piece from Newcastle who are festival favourites across Europe
Wed 07 Nov The Divine Comedy – Royal Festival Hall, Belvedere Road
During the early ’90s, The Divine Comedy built up a strong cult following with their idiosyncratic, critically acclaimed records and have since moved from British indie rock favourites to a minor mainstream cult in their own right
Thu 08 Nov M83 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Shoegazing electronica rock band from Antibes in France.
