RV’s back and there gonna be some trouble..

So good to be back in the studio, after my little weekend away on a course, suffice to say I missed the joy of playing great music and I feel I made up with this enough today. Well we had a few classic and a few brand new tracks, plus a little sideways audio sketch at the ‘expense’ of 007…garnished with the Title song for Skyfall by Adele.

Twofers today looked forward to the new single by The Rolling Stones- so we played ‘Lets spend the night together’ and ‘Painted Black’.

Here is the new Stones single – ‘Doom and Gloom’ ….

My Comedy show picks for this week……

David Baddiel: Work in Progress – 16th – 20th Oct 2012 • Soho Theatre
David Baddiel is coming to the Soho Theatre for a series of “work in progress” shows, testing out some brand-new material for an upcoming show — his first proper stand-up show for 15 years.

Phill Jupitus, at the Comedy Store – 17th Oct 2012 • Comedy Store
Phill Jupitus will be joining the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Josie Lawrence, Andy Smart, Neil Mullarkey, Phelim McDermott and Colin Sell.

Dara O’Briain — “Craic Dealer” – 18th – 20th Oct 2012 • Hammersmith Apollo
Don’t miss this chance to catch Ireland’s most charming, charismatic, and fast-talking funny man in London, when Dara O’Briain plays the Hammersmith Apollo.

My music pick for this week;

Mon 15 Oct The Gaslight Anthem – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Soulful rock band from New Jersey who write jagged emotive lyrics.
Thu 18/19 Oct Hot Chip – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Hailing from London, Hot Chip entered the picture with the release of their 2000 debut, Mexico.
Sat 20 Oct The Cribs – HMV Forum, London
Wakefield four-piece comprising brothers Ryan, Gary and Ross Jarman and ex-Smiths guitarist and songwriter Johnny Marr are known for their, gritty melodies, earthy guitar sound and bitingly observant lyrics.
