FRANKIE SAYS……..

Joining me today in the studio was Alan Mason, a volunteer from local Charity – Saint Francis Hospice, who is organising ‘Frankie’s Classic Car Fest and Family Fun Day.
The event is a classic car and bike show with activities for the whole family to raise funds for the Saint Francis Hospice, including judging for cars 20 years old or more. As Alan explained, the event will be held on Sunday 2 September, at The Ford Technical Centre, Dunton. With classic cars and bikes and with activities for the whole family to raise funds for the Saint Francis Hospice, including on the day will be judging for cars 20 years old or more. There will be a Supercar Paddock for future classics, motoring themed stalls including the Essex Police Subaru simulator, parade laps around the Test Track and food and drink stalls plus a guest appearance from the Original Stig.

We also had a few exclusives on the music front again – we had the 1st airplay in Essex of the new mix of the Brand new Republica single – which was specially remixed by Tenek: ‘Christiana Obey’. Check them out: – REPUBLICA {on Myspace}

We got to hear Jez from SpaceBuoy chatting about their new single, which is due out ahead of their appearance at INFEST UK festival and we got the exclusive first airing the single ‘The Look to Die for’. Check more details: – SPACEBUOY

Twofers was a sort of dedication to the Olympic closing ceremony, as the feature a synth classic or two – We played two from the Pet Shop Boys: ‘West End Girls’ and ‘Being Boring’.
