Getting You Home at The Last Minute – Listen Again

I really enjoyed covering Gary’s show Monday evening – even though I didn’t know I was doing it until about an hour before it started! (no fault of Gary)
So armed with nothing but a bunch of CD’s I jumped in and loved every minute of it!  I decided to feature a few tracks from Jools Holland and his Rythm & Blues Orchestra from the album Small World Big Band Vol 2 More Friends

Jools

The music was –
Maroon 5 – Payphone
Madness – Driving in my Car (to celebrate my friend Rachel passing her driving test at the first attempt)
Toni Basil – Mickey
Nizlopi – The JCB Song
Kaiser Chiefs – Ruby
Edwin Starr – Snowflake Boogie (from featured album Jools Holland and More Friends)
Doobie Brothers – Long Train Running
Duffy – Warwick Avenue
Alison Moyet – Love Resurrection
Dusty Springfield – Nothing Has Been Proved
Stooshie – Black Heart
Norah Jones – In the Dark (from featured album)
Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Because of You
Block Party – Octopus
Elton John vs Pnau – Sad
Elton John vs Pnau – Phoenix

Shapeshifters – Lolas Theme

About Bob Simpson

The Ojays were right about me - I Love Music, any kinda music! Brought up on The Beatles, wandered through the seventies dancing to anything from reggae to Led Zepplin and took up the microphone and decks all around East London and Essex when I wasn't doing my boring day job. Entered the world of radio in July 2011 and feel home at last. Thanks for visiting. Send me a message or request via Facebook on the link below - you are most welcome.
