Ladles and Gentlespoons,

May I firstly take this opportunity to apologise for the Breakfast Team’s lack of postings here on our blog. We do try to keep you up-to-date with what’s going on daily via our PhoenixFM Breakfast Facebook page and PhoenixFM Breakfast Twitter feed but we have become rather slack with blog posts.

BUT NO MORE!!!

We WILL use our blog more. And we WILL post relevant-ness upon it. And we WILL be summarising your daily Breakfast show in manageable weekly instalments.

So to start with; I must remind you, or tell you for the first time if you weren’t tuned in this morning (I will speak to you afterwards), that the 1st PhoenixFM Mini-lmpics began today with it’s first event… Wrestling!!! And when I say wrestling, I mean mini-wrestling, and when I say mini-wrestling what I actually mean is a thumb-war. The best of 3 rounds between Drive and Breakfast; Powis and Jelly. And the winner was… well, you will have to watch the footage which will be available to see on Wednesday once our video guy has worked his magic, and photoshopped the fat off my thumb.

Tomorrow will see the 2nd event take place but the only way to find out what it is is to tune in from 0700 hours tomorrow.

Also, to mark the start of the 8th month of 2012 (that’s August before you start counting on your fingers) the first three listeners to tune in Wednesday (1st Aug 2012) from 0700 hours and either text (0779 298 298), tweet (@PhoenixJelly) or Facebook (PhoenixFM Breakfast) their name and location will receive a signed photo of me (Rob) sat on a bean bag eating smarties with chopsticks!!!
