Creative sound and chuckles…

A bumper show today with lots going on…….we started the 6 week serial of a madcap radio-play ‘The lighthouse’ – which I’m sharing airplay with Breakfast with Bealey, on Sundays.

Also in todays show, Phoenix FM 24 Hours Creative session playback from MODOVAR today- all 5 tracks, were enjoyed – See a clip on You Tube and here me get caught with Donuts…..

We heard Mr Steve Tyler is going to be giving up being an Simon Cowell rock hard judge On American Idol to get back to his real job, as lead singer with AEROSMITH…

So, Twofers in this weeks show, has us enjoying ‘Love in and Elevator’ and ‘Dude looks like a lady’.

My Comedy show picks for this week……

An Evening with Jo Brand and Friends – 16th July 2012 • Comedy Store

Spend an evening with Jo Brand, Jenny Eclair, Norman Lovett and Sol Bernstein, in aid of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. The Comedy Store started out as a venue for alternative comedy in the 1980s, and has helped to launch many top comics.

Reginald D Hunter — Warm Up – 17th July 2012 • 100 Club

American comic Reginald D Hunter is one of the most engaging, honest and provocative stand-ups in the UK today, and is one a select group of comedians to have been nominated for the Perrier Award three years in a row.

Stewart Lee, at the Royal Festival Hall – 18th July 2012 • Royal Festival Hall

Stewart Lee is back with a brand-new show. But what can a middle-aged married man, whose life now consists of watching Scooby Doo cartoons with his 4-year-old boy, possibly find to write comedy about?

My music pick for this week;

Mon 16 Jul

M83 – Somerset House, London

Shoegazing electronica rock band from Antibes in France

Fri 20 Jul

Turin Brakes – The Square, Harlow

South London acoustic duo with a whimsical indie sound. The popular underground group emerged out of the New Acoustic Movement at the turn of the decade.
