The Lighthouse

It was a great pleasure to meet and chat to the writers and cast of Phoenix FM’s new comedy series The Lighthouse.
Written by Colin Wade and Ian Rayment the series is set in a neglected lighthouse. By an obscure Royal decree, the Lighthouse on Dead Man’s Isle must be manned until it falls into the sea. The authorities of St. Furzey’s Bay, seeing the upkeep as a burden, have done little to fund it in recent years leaving the building stuck in a Victorian time warp. It’s a wild, isolated place, with a history of gruesome and mysterious tales. How can its crew possibly fill their mundane days?
The cast consists of Amy Clayton who plays Patricia Drake
Justin Cartledge who plays Mark Winterbottom
Gary Ball who plays David Nation
and Nicky Jupp who plays Captain Robert T McRoy

Left to Right - Nicky Jupp - Amy Clayton - Colin Wade - Gary Ball - Justin Cartledge

The Lighthouse will be broadcast on Phoenix starting with episode one this Saturday 14 July at 9am during Rob Harvey’s Breakfast show followed by episode two at 9am Sunday on the new Stephen Bealey Breakfast show.
