With the Olympic torch coming through Brentwood today, I was joined on the phone by Tim Lee. He had been at Shefield Common along with thousands of people. Tim thought he had served a thousand burgers! He was at an event organised by the Brentwood Churches Together. After a day of flood warnings, he said they had prayed for sunshine and by the end of the evening they felt sunburnt! Lee and Jason chatted away in the chat room about bankers, so I played Money by the Flying Lizards. They then talked about weather so I played It is Raining Men by the Weather Girls. Michael requested the Shirells and Ian & Susan Will Young. When offered Men and Work, Dolly Parton or Coldplay at the end of his interview, Tim chose Coldplay. I played the others anyway. There were also track by Rick Braun & Boney James, Spryo Gyra, Beach Boys, Lady Antebellum, Booker T Jones, Adele, Cars, Buffalo Springfield, Elton John, Ellie Golding and others.
