Can a song save your life?
Cee Lo Green and front man of Maroon Five Adam Levine are having ago at acting as they star in a musical film called Can a Song Save Your Life? which is expected to be released next year.
It’s directed by John Carney and it see’s a singer song writer who is played by Keira Knightly form a bond with a record producer, played by Mark Ruffalo, after she is dumped by her rising star boyfriend who is played by Levine.
Green has been cast as hip-hop star who then lends a hand to help the young singer fulfil her musical ambitions.
The director has won awards in the past including an international hit with a film called ‘Once’ which won an Oscar for its song called Falling slowly.
Can a Song Save Your Life? Will be out in 2013 so keep a look out for it!
Over Their Darkness?
The Darkness have had it quite tough as a bad with members leaving, including front man Justin Hawkins back in 2006, but the rest of the band then recruited a new member and carried on under a new name. However still after all that they have reunited as a group with all original members and this week they have release the music video for their comeback single called ‘Everybody have a good time’.
This single will be available from 20th August along with their 3rd studio album, which the single if from called ‘Hot Cakes’.
The Darkness also have some performances coming up including a headline show at Thetford Forest on the 14th of July and are also supporting Lady Gaga on her European part of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour.
Cole Collaborations
This week Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas has announced his hopes of arranging a couple of duets with some of the biggest princesses in pop. One of these is of course his friend, the girl he manages, Cheryl Cole and he wants to team her up with none other than Britney Spears. He has explained saying “Britney would be great with Cheryl. When I’m recording with Britney, I’ve four songs of Cheryl sitting there.”
He also told singing sensation Rihanna that there is ‘this girl called Cheryl Cole and she is the pop princess of England’.
He was also ‘telling people in America they should collaborate.’ And he says ‘Hopefully it will happen soon.”
NRTA’s 2012
This week the nominations for the National Reality Television Awards 2012 has been announced. With 19 different categories, all winners will be announced on 30th August, and voting is taking place now.
Dragons Den is up for best Business show this year and Peter Jones who is from the programme, won Reality TV Personality of the Year last year and described the TV awards in a very positive way saying “The National Reality TV Awards are authentic and just what the industry needs.
“It is the first awards ceremony of its kind to finally redefine the whole reality TV industry into genres and the fact that millions of TV viewers are in charge in determining the outcome only adds to its credibility.”
The categories include Celebrity Personality of the Year, Best Reality TV Judge, Best TV Presenter, Best Reality Competition Show, Best Game and Dating Show, Best Talk Show and many more.
Many TOWIE stars are up for nominations across the board with the actual programme itself nominated for Best Entertainment show.
The Charities which will benefit from the awards include Help for Heroes, Shelter and the Diamond Children’s Trust.
