A MUSIC FILLED PACKED LUNCH

With summer seemingly finally with us – well at least it’s dry and sunny and at a weekend to boot, we celebrated with a show literally bursting at the seams with feelgood music for a sunny Saturday afternoon.

If you missed the show, you really missed out on some great songs from people like Bob Segar, Vanessa Amorosi, Prince, The Beach Boys, Mika, Katy Perry,   Five For Fighting, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, The Doobie Bros, Feeling, Faith Hill,  Bryan Adams, George Harrison and Britney Spears, to name but a few.

Just after half past one, Frances Clamp joined me for our BRENTWOOD & BILLERICAY BYGONES feature. This week, although historical, her subject was also very topical as it related to the history of banking, especially in Billericay and with particular emphasis on Barclays. One point that Frances made was that bankers used to be looked down upon because of their charges for interest. Some things never change!

You can listen to what Frances had to say right here: –  [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Bygones-26th-June.mp3|titles=Bygones 30th June]

That’s it for another week, don’t forget the BRENTWOOD BEER and MUSIC FESTIVAL happening next week at the Brentwood Centre on Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July. Hope to see you there.

All the best,

Scott
