A ‘Superb’ Shine example….with Shiny Darkness.

What a packed show as usual, but today we had more live musically delights -this time from French Synth-pop band Shiny Darkness, who joined us for a live session…. ahead of their show in East London. Sadly I had a bit of a cold still, so my voice was a bit husky, none the less Sebastion, Olivia 1, Olivia 2 and Katrina sounded awesome (you can listen again, via the special page link>> – Shiny Darkness – LIVE

Shiny Darkness (@BASII)

For more info: Reverb; SHINY DARKNESS

To make the the band feel at home, Twofers today, was two tracks from AIR, we played ‘Sexy Boy’ and ‘Kelly watch the stars’.

My Comedy show picks for this week……

Sean Hughes Stands Up – 24th June 2012 • Southbank Centre

Having matured since his early days, Sean Hughes has plenty of issues that he wants to discuss (ie. moan about). Religion, society and race are all topics that will be covered, along with his thinning hair, his dodgy knee

Harry Hill, at the 100 Club – 25th – 26th June 2012 • 100 Club

Harry Hill doesn’t do many stand-up shows these days, and concentrates on his TV shows. So it’s great to see him return to the stage with a special “Work in progress” show at the 100 Club (in preparation for an upcoming tour).

Micky Flanagan: Work in Progress – 25th – 30th June 2012 • Soho Theatre

Micky Flanagan is coming to the Soho Theatre for a series of work in progress shows. Using his East End background and Cockney wit, Micky will tell a tale of his working class childhood, where alphabetti spaghetti was a luxury.

My music pick for this week;

Sat 23 Jun

Shiny Darkness  – Bridgehouse2, Canning-town

French synth-pop band with a leaning towards the Depeche Mode sound

Tue 26 Jun

The View – Koko, Camden

Chart-topping indie band from Dundee, mixing elements of punk, pop, folk and acoustic into their music.

Sun 01 Jul

Garbage – O2 Academy Brixton, London

Nineties indie band fronted by fiercely intelligent Shirley Manson who provides the tortured and acerbic lyrics to the male musical backbone of Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig.
