Dad of the Year
It is of course Fathers Day tomorrow and what better present is there to get than an award for being Celeb Dad of the Year. Well only one man could win and it was take that lead Singer Gary Barlow. He beat the likes of Jay-Z, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Cameron and Peter Andre, in the public vote, and one of his tweets made it seem like he was expecting Peter Andre to win as it said ‘”Ladies, gentlemen, lads, lassies and Peter Andre, I’m proud to tell you all that I’ve won ‘Celebrity Dad of the year 2012’
Peter then replied saying ‘”Big Congrats to Gary B for winning father of the year. You deserve it pal. But hold on tight cos I’m coming back for it next year’
Barlow has also said that his 3 children, Daniel, Emily and Daisy are all excited that he was named Dad of the year and he feels ‘being a dad is a really important part of [his] life and it means a lot [to him] to have won this award.
Lemar is Invincible
Do you remember the show Fame Academy? It was a singing programme which was around in 2002 and presented by Cat Deely. One contestant, Lemar, who came 3rd, although he didn’t win has done quite well since, as he has won two Brit Awards, 3 MOBO’s and hitting the Top ten charts with such songs as ‘the way love goes’ and ‘if there’s any justice’ but since 2010 we haven’t really heard much from him, until now.
Lemar has announced this week that he has some new material coming out in August, which his comeback single, entitled ‘Invincible’ will be released on the 12th ahead of his upcoming fifth studio album. Lemar has written the song himself and recorded it in studios in London and LA
More details about the album itself will be announced in the near future but just a reminder that his latest single ‘Invincible’ will be available on the 12th August.
Cole to Cameo in Corrie?
Coronation Street seems to be a popular soap among celebrities at the moment with two Celeb’s wanting cameo roles in it.
The first one is Cheryl Cole who has admitted her favourite soap star is Michelle Keegan who plays Tina in Corrie, and she has also said that she is a massive fan chance to play a guest role in Weatherfield.
Cheryl already has a cameo role in the new film What to Expect When You’re Expecting and explains that she would “like to do more acting [as she]really enjoyed it. It’s a lot of fun.”
But another lady who would like to join the cast of Corrie is Kim Kardasian!
Reports have said that while Kim was in the UK promoting her new perfume she watched a few episodes of Coronation and was so impressed with British TV that she has now even been practising a Northen Accent. It has also been said that she has been talking to a US producer who is currently based in London about the possibility of meeting some UK industry contacts that he may have.
X-Factor Judge
Over the past few weeks guest judges have been standing in for Kelly Rowland on the next series of the X-Factor, these included Spice Girls, Mel B and Geri Halliwell as well as Rita Ora, Anastacia and X-Factor winner Leona Lewis, but now it has been confirmed that ex Pusscat Doll Nicole Scherzinger will be the permanent replacement. She has previously been a judge on the USA version of the show and was a guest judge for the London auditions of the UK show for the latest series. It seems she was picked for the job thanks to her ‘wealth of experience, both as a solo artist, and as a member of a group’
Nicole has had to step in for Kelly Rowland after the show axed her and due to the fact that Dannii Minogue then turned down a £1 million deal to return to the show.
Nicole will begin her full-time judging role when the auditions hit Newcastle and she ‘can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists.’
Mark Wright’s Hollywood Nights
Mark Wright has clearly moved well on from The Only Way Is Essex, after entering the jungle on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, and then presenting the behind the scenes on Take me Out, he now has a new show which started last Sunday called Mark Wright’s Hollywood Nights.
The show see’s Mark take some of his friends to LA for what has been reported as a ‘holiday for a lifetime’. Even though it has been seen as a lad’s holiday, Wright has said that it’ not just about partying [he wants to] explore LA, discover what it has to offer. He continued to say that he has ‘a few cheeky surprises up my sleeve’ well he wouldn’t be Mark Wright if he didn’t.
In the first show, we saw the boys land in LA but then get lost looking for accommodation.
But Mark is a very busy man at the moment as he has also has recently made a full range of T-shirts which are available on his website. There are 9 different sizes you can buy, including children’s sizes, as well as 19 different designs. Every one has either a topless picture of himself on it or words saying ‘I love Mark Wright’.
