Curveballs May 23rd 2012 (with Lady Grey & The Earls, and The Scarlet Echo)

Busy one tonight! First up I was joined by Hannah and Thom from The Scarlet Echo, just ahead of their EP launch gig at the Essex Arms. The Billericay foursome’s new EP is entitled Hear the Sound and is now available at all the usual outlets and at gigs – they’ll be back at the Essex Arms on Warley Hill on June 14th, followed by sets at Chinnerys in Southend on the 22nd and the Billericay Beer Festival on the 30th. Find them online at Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

I was also joined in the studio by Amy, Paul and Justin – three-fifths of our good buddies, Lady Grey & The Earls. Their seventh appearance on the show, no less (couldn’t calculate it in the studio!) and this time they did a few live session tracks for us, and chatted about stuff they’ve been up to, and, er, old daytime game shows (I remarked about watching old Wheel Of Fortune episodes where they used to give away dishwashers as prizes, then Amy started talking about Bob Monkhouse, as you will hear!).You can next catch the fivesome at the Hoxton Underbelly. They’re also on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
