A PICNIC FOR A BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY

Well after sitting in yesterday on EAT MY LUNCH, it was back to my regular Saturday PACKED LUNCH SHOW. I’m beginning to wonder if the management keep herding towards lunchtime shows because they think I make a meal of it!

Whatever the real reason I was very pleased to be joined by the Chairman of The BRENTWOOD WRITERS CIRCLE, Colin Taylor, who not surprisingly is a very accomplished story teller in his own right. He has recently published his first book, THE RESTAURANT BEAR which is intended particularly for children aged between 7 and 11, but could appeal to younger children as well. The book is available from www.colintaylortales.com priced at £6 plus p&p. Other stories are in the pipeline as picture books. One of these is titled THE PACKED LUNCH MONSTER. I just hope this is not aimed at me!

You can listen to the interview again here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Colin-Taylor-interview.mp3|titles=Colin Taylor interview]

Later on Frances Clamp popped in to outline the long history of Warley from the times of the Doomsday Book and once again her contribution is repeated here in case you missed it: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Bygones-20th-March.mp3|titles=Bygones 20th March]

I look forward to next week when Frances will be reminiscing about her early recollections from the start of PHOENIX FM, 5 years ago yesterday the 23rd March 2007. I’ll also be joined by local artist, James Merriott.

In the meantime enjoy the sunshine and don’t forget to put your clocks forward one hour tonight.

All the best,

Scott
