I was joined in the studio by Mike Conyers – Crushes Manor Clinic, Robert Gunn – Burnt Oak Consulting and Roland Kannor – MD of The Brentwood Brewing to talk about their new bitter, “Mikes Marathon” and Mike Conyers London Marathon Run for local charity SNAP (Special Needs and Parents).

Mikes London Marathon run is also incredible when you think that at the age of 12 Mike was blinded in a sporting accident. Mike will be running connected by wrist band to a sighted runner.

Lucky for me I got a bottle (or five) of “Mikes Marathon” and it’s fabulous. If you love your bitter you will love it and to be honest if you’ve never tried it.. TRY IT!  A percentage of the bitter sales are going towards the SNAP Charity.

This charity needs £150,000 from public donations every year to keep it running. Mike is aiming to raise at least £3000 from his Marathon run.

Mikes Marathon is available in casks, polypins and bottles it is hoped that the pubs, clubs, hotels, restaurants and retail outlets  in and around the Brentwood area will be willing to promote the beer. Every pint  sold will increase the donation Brentwood Brewing Company will make to Mike and  SNAP. Mike’s Marathon will be aavailable for the whole of 2012 to  support Mike and SNAP not only for the London Marathon, but  also for the Brentwood Half Marathon.
