In The Mix in the New Studios!

This week was very busy for Phoenix as we moved to our new studios at the Brentwood Centre!
On In The Mix Essex techno band Modovar came in for a little  chat and performed three songs which can be heard here by following this link  https://www.phoenixfm.com/2012/02/11/housewarming-modovar/
However as always I managed to squeeze in a bit of Celeb gossip which can be read below…
Jessie J
This week Essex singer Jessie J has been talking about her new album which she will start working on in Los Angeles this month.  She hasn’t started writing it yet and is unsure of the details, as she has explained saying “everyone keeps asking what it’s about, but I haven’t written it yet. I’m excited that I don’t know what it sounds like. It’s good pressure.”
She also listed the things which gets her a bit panicky saying “If I take on too much of the expectations from my fans, the world and the media I think I’d start to get a bit worried.”

“I think if I chill and do what I do best, if I write about things I experience from my heart, that I think the world wants to hear, then it’ll work.”

Jedward
Irish duo Jeward have been pretty busy over the past few months organising weddings and returning to the Big Brother House to lead the Celeb Housemates in some tasks, but recently they have returned to their roots, of what they do best, singing. Well some people may disagree with and hate to hear this, but they have written another song for the Euro Vision song contest in 2012. The boys took part last year and came 8th with 119 points for their song called ‘Lipstick’ beating boy band Blue who was singing for England and came 11th with their song called ‘I Can’.

This year’s song is called ‘What’s Your number’ and they have described it as ‘a really fun song’ They have said “You can listen to it millions of times and always smile! Ahhhhhhh we can’t wait for your to hear it! Whats Your Number is gonna change the world!”

They also added “It’s gonna be the most JEPIC Eurovision song ever! we could get a Grammy!”
Well thats if they get to present Ireland for a 2nd time. They will have to compete against other acts including Maria McCool and Donna McCaul before the contest to see if they are voted to sing for Ireland.

This year’s Eurovision, takes place in Azerbaijan on May 14th.
