2001 and The London Leopards on Sunday Replay

We took a trip back to 2001 today for the major events of that year and listened to some of the music.
Roger Sanchez – Another Chance
Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya, Pink – Lady Marmalade
The Top Ten of that year was next:
10. Shaggy ft Rayvon – Angel
9. Afroman – Because I Got High
8. Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag
7. S Club 7 – Don’t Stop Movin’
6. Westlife – Uptown Girl
5. DJ Otzi – Hey Baby
4. Atomic Kitten – Whole Again
3. Kylie Minogue – Can’t Get You Out Of My Head
2. Hear’Say – Pure and Simple
1. It Wasn’t Me – Shaggy.
In the second hour we had a quick blast of Jackie Wilson – I Get the Sweetest Feeling, before meeting my guests in the studio – Ousman Krubally and John Lister, from the London Leopards basketball team who have the Brentwood Centre as one of their main home venues

It was a great pleasure to speak to these two inspiring young men and to hear about the teams recent success and victory to become the National Cup Champions

Following the sad death yesterday of Whitney Houston our 3@3 featured some of her greatest Hits – Saving all my Love for You/Greatest Love of All/One Moment in Time
We rounded off the afternoon with a few Love songs in the run up to Valentines Day
Paul Weller – You Do Something to Me
Buddy Holley and the Crickets – Peggy Sue
Neil Diamond – Sweet Caroline
Dusty Springfield – The Look of Love
Back 50 years to 1962 next week. Listen in at 2pm…
