1st Gear kicks off with bikes!

Now I know it’s no supprise to start with two wheels but needs must.

It was great to have three young(two anyway) riders start the new show. Tommy Dale third in last years Triumph Triple challenge. Tom Weeden 8th overal also in the TTC and Phoenix favorite Rob Guiver, third in this years British 125 championship.

It was good to find out the plans for the three of them to see where they are moving to for 2012. Tommy Dale was moving up to the super stock 600 class in the BSB support class, Tom Weeden moving to European Super Stock 600’s and with Rob now moving out of the 125 class and going to the TTC for 2012.

Tommy, Tom and Rob are not just there to make up the numbers but are serious about winning there class this coming season.

We will keep in contact with the three riders over the year to see how there season pans out and hopefully we could have a champion visiting us come the end of the season.

Join me next Tuesday when we talk more motorsports on 1st Gear.

Over the coming weeks we will also have guests from BTCC, single set racing and one make series from around the UK.
