Starting the year as we mean to go on with this weeks line up. Part of this weeks show was inspired by watching lots of Sonic Youth live footage including the brilliant documentary 1991 The Year Punk Broke. A lot of the bands featured in that documentary made the playlist including our featured album which was Mudhoney’s classic Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge.
Our 2 bands / 1 song was The Velvet Undergrounds All Tomorrows Parties.
We also had a look forward to some of the expected releases coming in 2012. Albums are expected from some great artists including Cat Power, The Shins, Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear, Leonard Cohen, Ani Difranco (which we had a little preview from with two tracks being played), Animal Collective and loads more.
