A NEW YEAR REVELRY

Without any guests this week, not even Frances Clamp, today’s PACKED LUNCH was stuffed full of some more of the goodies that made it to PHOENIX FM’s coveted “A”List during 2011.

Last Tuesday whilst covering the DRIVE TIME SHOW, I got through a selection from the first 6 months of the year and so today I started from the Autumn with “Jealousy” from Will Young, “Together You and I” by Dolly Parton, “Collide” from Leona Lewis and “Arlandria” from The Foo Fighters.

It will be of no surprise to anyone that I also played my favourite single of the year – “Stand” By Lenny Kravitz or the single taken from my album of the year by James Morrison “I Won’t let you go”. I also managed to sneak in “Brittle Heart” from Brett Anderson and “We Found Love” by superstar Rihanna and Calvin Harris.

On top of this the computer helped me by playing a host of songs from Phoenix FM’s current “A” list including “Our Day will come” from Amy Winehouse, “See That Girl” from Cast, Ed Sheeran’s “Lego House, Noel Gallaagher’s High Flying Birds with “If I Had a Gun”, the current release by Olly Murrs – “In Case You didn’t Know” and “Kiss The Stars” from Brentwood’s very own Pixie Lott.

A PACKED LUNCH indeed! Frances Clamp returns next week to give us the historical low down on St Mary Magdalene Church in Great Burstead.

In the meantime may I thank you for listening and wish you a very happy, and especially healthy 2012.

Bye for now,

Scott
