The Live Edition – 29/11/11

On this weeks show we split the music in two. First hour we had the usual mix of new
music (which included a track from the stunning new Kate Bush album 50 Words For Snow),
and also some old favourites (like The Bluetones). Then for the remainder of the show
it was a Live Special, featuring tracks from some of the best live albums around.
The latter part of the show was inspired by the fact that 2011 has been a great year
for live shows. And there really isn't any experience like seeing your favourite
band / artist live, in my humble opinion it makes you feel alive, and for that night
you can forget everything and completely lose yourself in the music.

Also this week we've got some more free music for you (because we are nice like that!)
in the shape of a mix put together by Les Savy Fav to showcase their impending
curation at the ATP Nightmare Before Christmas festival. You can download the mix for
free from the below link :
https://sexbeatlondon.com/2011/11/28/le-savy-favs-atp-mixtape/

A Special mention goes to The Smashing Pumpkins reissues of their albums Gish
and the classic Siamese Dream. Both albums have been digitally remastered and
have a bonus disc with rareities and demos and in the case of Siamese Dream
a live dvd. Well worth checking out and the packaging as well is rather lovely.
