Who’s got Jungle Fever?

I’m a Celebrity…
As mentioned last week, now ex member of the TOWIE cast Mark Wright will be entering the jungle for I’m a Celebrity get Me out of Here and this week it was announced of who else will be joining him.
Some of them are quite well known and others, as usual are not so well known.
Here is a lift of the new contestances.
Willie Carson, (Former champion jockey)
Fatima Whitbread (Olympic javelin-thrower)
Dougie Poynter (Bassist in McFly)
Crissy Rock Famous for: (Actor in ‘Benidorm’)
Stefanie Powers (80’s TV show ‘Hart to Hart’)
Antony Cotton (Coronation Street actor)
Lorraine Chase (Model/actress_
Jessica-Jane Clement (From ‘The Real Hustle

Last year saw Essex girl and X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon become jungle queen while in previous series we have seen Kerry Katona and and ex-Busted star Matt Willis take the crown.

The new series starts Tomorrow, Sunday, 13th November, at 9pm.

Katy’s Candy
Katy Perry is known for her tight, colourful outfits in her music videos and on stage and she is going to sell one of her dresses she has recently worn on her world tour to raise money for Charity, the Red Cross.
It is known as the ‘Cotton Candy Dress’, with a glittery red bodice encrusted with Swarovski crystals teamed with a billowing pink skirt.

It will go up for auction on E-bay and the winning bidder not only wins the dress to keep, they will be personally presented with the outfit by Katy herself backstage at her gig in Oakland, California later this month and will also receive VIP seats for the show.

That’s is amazing, and if that isn’t enough to want to get you bidding then maybe Katy’s Tweet will persuade you. “Straight from Candyfornia to your closet! Bid now to benefit the RedCross!”

Shakira’s Star
It wasn’t long ago that Twlight stars, Rob Pattinson ,Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Launter, printed their hands and footprints on Hollywood’s walk of fame. And on Tuesday Shakira joined them.

She has become recognised by officials as “the highest-selling Colombian artist of all time” and is first Colombian to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Her star is the 2,354th to be put on the walk of fame at a ceremony which her mum and dad Nidia and William, joined her at.
At the age of 7 Shakira’s mum took her to see the Walk of Fame as Shakira explained saying “”My mum told me, ‘Shaki, one day you’ll have your own star here.’
“If someone had heard that conversation, they would have thought she was insane.”
She also of course had some thanks to give out saying
She said: “This is incredible. I would like to thank all of you.” “This is for the fans who have listened, supported and understood my music all these years.”

Frankie has the EX-Factor
Frankie Cocozza has been kicked off The X-Factor  for breaking the rules by boasting about his drug taking and sleeping around.
Head judge Gary Barlow, who mentored the rebel , issued an official statement saying: “Frankie has apologised publicly as well as personally to me and the producers for his actions that led to him leaving the show.

“I’m hugely disappointed that he’s thrown away an opportunity like this after working so hard to get here. I’m sorry to see him go as we’ve been through a lot together in such a short time.”

He added: “I hope Frankie continues to look to me as a friend and supporter and works it all out, picks himself up and somehow tries to turn this into a positive.”
Frankie has apologized to his fans by saying ‘I feel bad about letting the fans down and I’d like to apologies to the people who voted for me,’ ‘I’m really, really sorry.’

Stand in Judge and preivous winner Alexandra Burke has also had a bit to say about this event saying  “It’s a shame that anyone who’s given the opportunity is kicked off the show, but it can only be your own fault,”
“These opportunities don’t come around every day for people who want to be music artists and you can’t take advantage of that.
“I don’t want to judge, I don’t know the truth  or what’s going on in the inside, but maybe this is the way he’ll learn to appreciate things.”

Alexandra also described what it was like for her when she was on the show “In my year, 2008, we weren’t allowed out , we had a curfew at 9pm and we were lucky to see our families on the weekends.
“We couldn’t use our mobiles and there was a total lock down on Twitter and Facebook so we were in our own bubble away from the world.
“The show has completely changed now and it spices it up a bit but then you get people like Frankie who go clubbing and maybe not take it so seriously.”

So maybe the curfew should be brought back for the contestants?
Either way Frankie will not be returning to the show which means there is a gap for an ex contestant to come back!
And this is where the public come in. We get to vote for an act to replace Frankie, these acts will be the ones who were chosen by their mentor to leave The X Factor at the end of week One, these are James Michael, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes or Jonjo Kerr.
Voting lines are now open and all profits from the vote will be donated to charity Help for Heroes.
Lines will close during tonight’s show so if you want to vote then go onto the X-factor website for all the details.
