Hunt for Rob October…….

Spooky as it may seem I had yet more great new tunes in the show…..and this week an odd tune from a guy called Goyte; his from Belgium and lives in Australia. and has a single called  “Somebody I used to know” – It is nice when good songs hunt you down and not vice versa.

Twofers today was a nod towards the reforming Stone Roses, who are planning some hot gigs for 2012. So we played ‘Fools Gold’ and ‘I want to be adored’ .

Melodic indie boys from Northern Ireland who formed at Dundee University in 1994. They have since evolved into one of the biggest selling bands in the UK.

The Vaccines – The O2 bubble

Formed in June 2010, the band consists of Justin Young (vocals, who previously worked under the name Jay Jay Pistolet, playing indie folk), Anri Hjorvar (bass), Freddie Cowan (guitar, younger brother of Tom from The Horrors) and Pete Robertson (drums). The band released their demo “If You Wanna” in the Summer of 2010 where the track received praise from Zane Lowe, who awarded it his ‘Hottest Record In The World’ in August 2010.
