It was a pleasure to welcome Laura, Richard and Steve from Southend’s Darvaza Hole, not to be confused with the one in Turkmenistan. The band describe themselves as dark heavy melodic progressive alternative rock which sounds pretty good to us, although we persuaded them to show their lighter, fluffier side as the played out three acoustic songs for us live on air, which you can see and hear again below:
