Cult 90s band POP WILL EAT ITSELF are back with a new album, new tour and new line up put together by band mainstay/songwriter/vocalist Graham Crabb.

The band enjoyed success and numerous changes of style during 1986 to 1996 which saw them chalk up ten top 40 singles – including the top-ten-bothering Get The Girl! Kill The Baddies! – and four top 40 albums. The band got together for a fully sold-out Reformation tour in January 2005.
I met up with Graham in a Kent pub this week to talk about what he’s been doing since then, why the new line-up got together and plans for the future.
If you want to find out what the band are up to you can visit their official website, Facebook or Twitter.

Hi
Thanks so much for the Graham Crabb interview it was great to hear from him.A long term Poppies fan,I first saw them back at Acid Daze in the late 80′s,then more times than I can remember, back in the day then on the reformation tour and also Graham with Vile Evils.I loved every gig and I’m so pleased Graham is back, I love the guy.PWEI remain the most underated band of all time.I’m going to buy every reissue despite the fact that I have almost every single, every album,12 inch, vinyl,cd,Unspoilt by progress on VHS ,picture disc etc etc.Tickets booked for Beautiful Days and O2 Islington later in the year and I can’t wait.I think it’s wonderful that Graham loves his band and the amazing music they have made over the years and wants to share it with his loyal fans once again.New stuff to look forward to as well, what a treat.I’d crawl over broken glass with my flies unzipped just to hear them play again…I’m getting overexcited now,I’d better have a jazz cigarette to calm down.Have I mentioned I love PWEI !! Thanks again Phoenix, cheers. P.S. whenever I go to gigs with a poppies t shirt on someone will shout out “Poppies on patrol!” and start chatting about them,a much loved and well remembered band.
Awesome Interview! Thank you.
