SUNday Breakfast 26th June

Get it? SUNday? Well, here’s hoping…the first breakfast show of this year in shorts and a t shirt. Long may it continue.

We did the Breakfast Bongs (for the inventor of Basketball – Abner Doubleday, born this day 1819) and the Sunday Solo was ‘I’ll find my way home’ by Jon and the Vangelis.

After nine, we heard from Michael Aves, Chairman of local chamber choir The Stondon Singers previewing the annual William Byrd Anniversary concert on Tuesday 5th July. Michael has also composed a piece that celebrates the 400th birthday of the King James Bible and this will be included in the concert.

David Minns, Chairman of Brentwood and District Talking Newspaper was in the studio too this morning ahead of their street collection on Saturday 2 July. Please support this local charity if you can who send out an hours worth of recorded news from the Brentwood Gazette and other sources every week to over 100 people who rely on it to keep informed about our local area.

If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer, please call David on 01277 212379.

And so until the next best day of the week, and best time of day, take care, enjoy the sun, mind the hailstones, oh, and see you at 2pm this afternoon for Sunday Replay.
