Harry Potter
I treated Harry Potter fans on In The Mix this week by playing the trailer for the last instalment of the franchize Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2. The Film premier takes place in London 7th July and is the 8th instalment which started in 2001 with The Philosophers Stone.
Fans would have seen Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who play main characters Harry, Hermionie and Ron, grow up through the films and would have grown up with them themselves, so they may be sad to see Harry for the last time.

However author JK Rowling has hinted this may not be the last we see of Harry! This week she has launched a new website called Pottermore, it is very mysterious as all the site is, is a clock counting down the seconds until Rowling makes an announcement about the project on June 23.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows will be out in Cinemas on 15th July.

Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake first rose to fame in music with singles such as Sexy Back and Cry Me a River, but he also has another talent of acting, and he has recently admitted he is focusing on his film career more than music at the moment. However he has said he misses the music by saying “You go through these spurts when you miss it. In a perfect world I’d love to be able to involve myself in music and films as they come and go.” He added: “People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say. Music is not my focus right now. It may be some day. It could happen next month or next year, but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”

Justin has been in numerous films, one of which has just recently come out, which is Bad Teacher which also stars Cameron Diaz, but he was who was nominated for seven awards for playing Sean Parker in The Social network. And even though he was nominated for these awards he still feels a bit like a beginner when it comes to acting saying  “I feel like a rookie in the movie business, that’s for sure. Maybe a little bit of an outsider, too, since I came to it from music.
“But I think that’s fair. I don’t know that I’ve done a huge body of work that would warrant my not feeling like that.”

Diversity
Dance group, Diversity who won reality TV Show Britains Got Talent in 2009, appeared in StreetDance 3D in 2010, but they may soon be starring in a film about themselves.
Lead choreographer Ashley Banjo said “The film thing for us is closer than people expect, and I’m pretty sure it will happen in the near future.”

There is also a chance the dance group may be taking part in the 2012 Olympics as he added “I can’t confirm yet, but as a group we’re definitely going to be involved in the Olympics in a performance sense,”.

Diveristy start a tour next year and Ashley is still shocked of how popular they are by saying “I’m quite confident that people would always enjoy us, whether we were popular or not, but since Britain’s Got Talent it’s been like a snowball effect; it’s been more and more popular,”
“That proves the public really enjoy what we do, because it’s more than two years now since the show (Britain’s Got Talent) and we’re about to embark on our biggest tour yet, not our smallest one. That’s a good sign when the public keep coming back for more.”

Maroon 5 and Christina
US TV Talent programme The Voice is a bit like X-Factor, however the judges face the audience and not the person auditioning. The four judges on the show are Cee Lo Gree, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine (from Maroon 5) and Christina Aguilera.
The two judges I mentioned last, Adam and Christain, has recently recorded a collaboration together called ‘Moves Like a Jagger’.
The song has been described as quintessential Maroon 5 power pop, with an upbeat tune.
Aguilera thinks the collaboration is a “wonderful opportunity” while Levine has said it was ‘great’ to work with her.
The track was recorded in LA and will be available to buy online after the 21st June when they will perform Like A Jagger on The Voice.

And for any Maroon 5 fans you may want to know that once The Voice is finished for this seris, Maroon 5 are  co-headlining a North American summer tour with Train, beginning on July 22 in California.

Spider Man on stage
Bill Clinton, Jay-Z and Matt Damon were just 3 of the celebs who were in the audience of Spider Man: Turn off the Dark Musical which has recently opened up on Broadway.
However this production is not the same as it started out to be.
The original director called Julie Taymor was replaced just three months before the play was brought to stage. She was replaced by the director of musical The Boy From Oz, Philip William Mckinley, made many changes to the $70million.

The opening of the play wasn’t smooth as there was been six scheduled openings, numerous rewrites, cast injuries and technical glitches and all of this may have show as it got a poor reception from critics with some saying it was “significantly overhauled but still terminally clunky reworking”.
Julie Taymor attended thee opening night, was welcomed on stage and said “I just want to thank everybody, especially the cast and crew, the musicians and this creative team that I got to work with for a long time,”.

After the play had finished all the cast were relived and Reeve  Carney, who plays Peter Parker said “The biggest lesson I learned from this whole process is never to give up,” “There were many opportunities along the way for many of us to quit, but none of us did.”
