Pip Edward’s Entertainment Show Thursday 2nd June

Thursday’s Entertainment Show was centred around Britain’s Got Talent and the X-Factor controversies, as well as giving the lastest in celebrity news and gossip, and our usual TV and soap catch up.

The phone in asked Phoenix listeners who they thought would be a good choice for the role of X-Factor judge, and you offered some sensible and some more self indulgent responses, the most popular of which can be found below.

My cinema top recommendations for the week are

1. X-Men first class: gets a fantastic 4.5 stars. Briliant performance by James McAvoy and cast, with real world history and sci-fi nicely juxtaposed!

2. The Hangover: Similar to the first but humour filled to the last! Worthy of 4 stars

3. Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides: Good but similar to the other three films, worthy of a Phoenix FM 3 stars

I also recommended the DVDS- ‘The Next Three Days’, ‘Long Way Back’ and ‘Sanctum’. Get in touch on next week’s Entertainment Show 9th June 6pm-8pm to add your views on these films or any others!

Sarah Toomey will be joining us on the 9th to talk about the release of her first single with Bauldy, titled Summer Love Sensation, available for download on itunes and Amazon. It’s a cracking summer hit so take a listen and enjoy!

Pip

Phoenix listeners X-Factor panel top four:

1 Leigh Francis- more humour than a credible choice?

2 Russell Brand- well, his wife knows a bit about music!

3 Dawn French- she is warm and honest, so a good choice! But does anyone recall her Comic Relief musical exploits??

4 Dumbledore- the hat could decide instead!

David Beckham and Megan Fox also run this comedy quartet close!
