The Shame play live on the Entertainment Show

Talk of the community, and the nation, surrounded the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Catherine wowed crowds in her Sarah Burton dress with lace applique, bodice and skirt, completed with a 1936 Cartier tiara. The lace was cleverly crafted, with lace flowers of roses; thistles; daffodils and shamrocks, picking national flowers from all over the UK and Scottish territories. William wore his uniform as Colonel of the Irish Guards with his RAF wings, looking dashing in red and black. We were also reminded of William’s mother as Catherine’s mother wore a sky blue dress by Catherine Walker; a favourite of the late Princess Diana. In fact, many thought that Mrs Middleton and Maid of Honour Philippa, stole the show. Catherine’s sister wore a striking white full length fitted dress, also designed by Sarah Burton.

Our ‘Wedding Special’ saw listeners vote their top three wedding moments as

1. Catherine’s “wow” as she saw the crowds from the balcony

2. The kiss (kisses)- we’re all secret romantics

3. William’s “you look beautiful”, whispered to Catherine at the altar

From 7pm we were joined in the studio by James and David from The Shame, who release their single on the 9th of May, entitled ‘When the ink runs out’. You can listen to this single, and three other singles played live in the Phoenix studios.
