Curveballs April 27th 2011 (with Fall To Oblivion, & Near Death Experiment)

Fall to Oblivion (l-r): Adam (bass/vocals), Haydn (guitar), Sam (vocals), Liam (guitar).

Tonight I was joined in the studio by four-fifths of Thurrock metal band Fall to Oblivion. The fivesome, which also features Glen on drums, have just finished recording a new demo, from which we heard two tracks exclusively tonight. The band will be gigging locally throughout May, and can next be seen live at The Cauliflower in Ilford on May 5th, Bar Lambs in Westcliff-on-Sea on May 6th, and Basildon’s Towngate Theatre on May 15th as part of the area final for Live & Unsigned. For the full list of gigs, and to hear and download music from the band, head to www.facebook.com/falltooblivion.

I also chatted to Near Death Experiment frontman Gavin, just ahead of their gig at Sound in Leicester Square.  The fivesome have just released a new EP, What We Leave Behind, which can be downloaded for free from https://neardeathexperiment.bandcamp.com. For future dates, stay tuned to www.myspace.com/neardeathexperimentrock and their Facebook page.
