On The Commentary Box tonight Steve Robertson, Dave Turner and Tony Smith looked ahead to what turned out to be a reduced football programme in the Ryman League Premier and Division One North. Many fixtures were called off due to waterlogged pitches, including the matches involving both Brentwood and Billericay.

The local league sides still played, keeping up their run of recent form.

We looked ahead to the Cricket World Cup, speaking of the bust time England’s cricketers have had since the Ashes series begun

We discussed the Formula One Championship as the race in Bahrain was looking less likely. The season opening Grand Prix will now be on the last weekend in March in Australia.
