Ed from Editors in tonight?

Impossible…is what I’d have said last week if someone had told me that Biffy Clyro would be (indirectly) probably the new Christmas number 1. A week is indeed a long time in politics, but also pop. It doesn’t feel like an awful long time in my life, hence I am hurriedly posting this show page. At least it may give you a reminder to stop by and have a lovely indie alternative time with yours truly.

Also, depending on what time he finishes his new album writing rehearsals, we may also have the pleasure of Ed, the drummer from Editors in the studio with me this evening to chat over all sorts of things. He’s definitely coming over to watch the cricket, so we’ll see if music comes first!

Here’s last week’s playlist:

Foo Fighters – My Hero
The Strokes – Reptilia
The Hold Steady – Stay Positive
LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends
Arcade Fire – Ready To Start
Engineers – To An Evergreen
My Morning Jacket – Touch Me I’m Going To Scream
The Low Anthem – To Ohio
Echo And The Bunnymen – Seven Seas
Radiohead – Skttrbrain (Four Tet Remix)
Neon Neon – I Told Her On Alderaan
Clearlake – Neon
Pure Reason Revolution – The Exact Colour
Peter, Bjorn and John – Amsterdam
Biffy Clyro – Liberate The Illiterate: A Mong Amongst Mingers
Lisa Hannigan – I Don’t Know
Kings Of Convenience – Failure
Josh Rouse – Winter In The Hamptons
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – Don’t Do Me Like That
Band Of Skulls – Impossible
The Envy Corps – Rhinemaidens
Four Tet – Sing
