A week of highs and lows – The Pre New, Republica, Activia and Isa Isa Baby

Had a great week this week seeing both The Pre New live at the Dublin Castle on Monday and Republica at the Academy in Islington on Wednesday. Plus I stood next to Amy Winehouse in the pub on Monday and Samantha Fox at the gig on Wednesday, but watching the bands turned out to be much better.

Even watching the Activia advert on TV followed straight away by the Halifax’s Isa Isa Baby advert didn’t dampen my mood, although under normal circumstances I’d have banned TV in the house for the rest of the week in case I saw either again.

Tonight’s playlist:

Stone Roses – I Am The Resurrection
Abdoujaparov – Beer Scooter
Good Natured – Be My Animal
Jonny Cola and the A Grades – Greenhouse
Joy Formidable – Greyhounds In The Slips
Lush – Superblast!
Republica – Out Of The Darkness
Egyptian Hip Hop – Rad Pitt
Bis – Diska
Darren Hayman and the Secondary Modern – Calling Out Your Name Again
Erland and the Carnival – The Derby Ram
Art Brut – Alcoholics Unanimous
Afrirampo – Miracle Lucky Girls
Radiohead – Anyone Can Play Guitar
Little Comets – Isles
British Sea Power – Zeus
Frank and Walters – The Clock
SaraMUSt – Outlet
Dutch Uncles – Fragrant
Pre New – The Pre New Anthem
Elastica – How He Wrote
Flowered Up – Weekender
